Anthony Oluwafemi olaseni Joshua born 15 October 1989, in Watford to a Nigerian mother, Yeta and a Nigerian/Irish father, Robert.  Joshua spent his early years in Nigeria and returned to the UK halfway through year seven to join king’s Langley secondary school.

From drug offence to boxing world heavyweight champion.

From age 16 have been in trouble. He has been hanging out with wrong people. He grabbed an opponent by the neck and threw him over his shoulder. There was a formal complaints and Joshua was charged with actual bodily harm, for which he received a warning. There were streets fights too. He has to relocate to London, because a lot of police bans him from district, for a year. He has to be home at 7:30 pm. He has to sign to station three times a week. That taught him discipline and routine he never had.

So then he thought he has to change his lifestyle, so he started lifting weights and his cousin Ben lleyemi take him to finchley abc boxing club. He was greeted my head coach Sean Murphy.  Joshua always loves to do pads. He comes to Gym to stay fit, but after he was in loved with boxing.

Boxing was bringing positive side of Joshua. He started getting results.

From there his career started.  Joshua won the 2009 and 2010 Haringey Box Cup. He won senior ABA Championship in 2010. Then he turned down £50,000 to turn professional boxer. He said “Turning down £50,000 was easy, I didn't take up the sport for money, I want to win medals”.  He also wins the same tournament the following year. In 2010 was successful, he got place GB Boxing team. In 2010 he won the British amateur champion at the GB Amateur Boxing Championship after defeating Amin Isa.

In 2011 he was named Amateur Boxer of the Year by the Boxing Writers Club of Great Britain. In 2011 BAKU he won silver medal in World Armature Boxing Championship. In 2012 we won the Gold medal in London Olympic, in super-heavyweight division. 

In July 2013 Anthony Joshua started his professional boxing career under Matchroom Sports promotions.  Joshua made his professional boxing debut on 5 October 2013. He beats Italian Emanuelue Leo by a TKO in the first round.  Joshua announced on 16 July 2015, he will fight undefeated Scottish boxer Gary Cornish (21-0, 12 KOs).  Joshua won the vacant title by stopping Cornish at just 90 seconds in the first round. From there Joshua got the boost and one after another to wins his fights.

Anthony Joshua fought 19 Professional boxing fights and he won all of them. All 19 fights are won by total knockout. He fought with big names in sports of boxing. His careers biggest fight was with Wladimir Klitschko, he was two times World heavy-weight champion of the world. Wladimir Klitschko is considered to be one of the greatest heavy-weight champions of all time. Anthony Joshua total knockout him 11th round.
