Khabib Nurmagomedov is born September 20, 1988 in Russia. He is a two time Combat Sambo world champion, a freestyle wrestler and judo black belt. Khabib Nurmagomedov is also lightweight division world champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
He is currently holds one the longest undefeated record in MMA with 25 wins to his name. Since 2017 he has been ranked the number 2 contender in the UFC lightweight division, by several ranking authorities, like mma junkie.
At the age of 12 Khabib trained in wrestling and from the age of 15 he started training Judo. After turning 17, he started training in combat sambu under his father. Khabib would frequently get into street fights in his youth, before focusing his attention towards mixed martial arts.
Khabib made his professional MMA debut in September 2008 and get 4 wins in under a month, including 3 wins in the same night. After 3 years he was go undefeated, finishing 11 out of 12 opponents. He also fought in Bellator and M-1 Global, he won seven fights by total knockout or submission. At the time he 16-0 and that was the perfect time for UFC.
In 2011 Khabib signed a six-fight deal to compete in Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight division. Khabib fought 9 fights under UFC banner and won all of his fights.
